AdventNet released AdventNet SNMP Utilities 5.0, the latest version of its Web-based network management toolset, on September 3.

Developed on Java, the tool can be used across multiple platforms with support of SNMP v1, v2 and v3. New enhancements include protocol-level IPv6 support by MIB Browser.

The main components of the toolset are MIB Browser (a browser to manipulate MIBs), Trap Viewer (a viewer to display traps received from SNMP agents), Proxy Forwarder (bridge between SNMP v3 and v1/v2), i18NEditor (an editor with internationalization support), SNMP Decoder (a decoder for SNMP debug information), and Web Server/SAS Server supporting SNMP management applet.

A runtime license with first-year maintenance support is priced at 82,000 yen.
