IPv6 Enabled Mobile IP Phone Developed by Mitsubishi Research Institute and IP Talk

Mitsubishi Research Institute and IP Talk announced on February 19 that two companies co-developed an IP phone that supports IPv6 and LAN. The list price for consumers is not finalized yet, but the product will be available for evaluation at approximately 100,000 yen to system integrators and manufacturers.

The specifications of the end device are not published, but its operation has been verified using the IPv6 support version of the open source SIP server “Asterisk”. The “IPv6 Ready Logo” has already been granted, according to the companies.
