On November 17, Acca Networks and Alcatel announced that they would expand the scope of current field trial. The trial for Mobile WiMAX, currently in Yokosuka Research Park, will include downtown Yokohama with2.5 GHz from December.
Acca Networks will be the first provide in Japan to carry out a field trial of Mobile WiMAX simultaneously in suburbs as well as in downtown.
Alcatel offers a comprehensive WiMAX solution including base stations, wireless access controllers, operation management center, and terminal devices.
