NTT West announced on June 14 an upgrade of "Security Tools", offered in "Flet's Optical Premium", an IPv6-enabled optical Internet service, and in Flet's v6Appli", an option for B Flet's and Flet's ADSL users.
The latest upgrade enhances its existing features, with the addition of virus propagation warning and automatic pattern file update to its anti-virus feature, and addition of automatic recovery from virus-infected registry and files. It also comes with new features including anti-phishing protection, security diagnostic function, and unauthorized wireless LAN connection detection.
To upgrade to the new version, existing users need to follow specific upgrade procedures based on their tool usage pattern.
