Freebit announced on December 3rd its ASP type unified messaging service “FAVO”. The service will be provided through ISPs Plala and ASAHI net. This is the 3rd attempt by Freebit in “FreeBit OfficeOne”, the company's solution for corporate.

FAVO enables viewing messages received through either a telephone or an Internet connection, irrespective of time, place or means, based on the unified management of telephone (messages), FAX, and e-mail on a server.

By assigning an individual ID to each user, FAVO can identify on the server FAX, telephone and e-mail messages sent to each individual, and perform a unified management to distribute them. Users can view FAX messages as TIFF image attached to e-mail messages, or check voice message as e-mail-attached WAVE files, or have e-mails read over the phone.

ASAHI net will start providing FAVO to its individual members on December 3rd. ASAHI net members will be able to use it for a monthly fee of 300 Yen per user. The company plans to start services for businesses in January 2004. Plala plans to start their services in spring next year. Plala has not yet determined its service fees.
