Microsoft announced it has completed the development for "Windows Server 200 Japanese Version (WS2003)" and will start production for sales.
WS2003 is the newest server OS offered by Microsoft, the next generation of "Windows 2000 Server." The development of the English version completed on March 28, and the Japanese version comes a week later. The formal announcement of the English version is expected to take place at the product exhibition on April 24 at San Francisco's Graham Civic Auditorium. The company says plans for a formal announcement for the Japanese version is yet to come, but said products will likely hit the shelves in June.
Microsoft will also allow member developers to download WS2003 at its MSDN (Microsoft Developer Network) site from April 8.
Microsoft also announced it has started production of its "Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition (64bit) Japanese version" and is likely to be on sale around the same time.
